Our Day Centre: Established in 1992, our Day Centre has dedicated over three decades to serving our local community. It has transformed into an inclusive sanctuary, a source of support, and a vibrant hub for everyone seeking its enriching environment. With open doors and welcoming hearts, we embrace individuals from diverse backgrounds, nurturing a space where the community can gather, connect, and flourish.
Our Hours: Our Day Centre operates **Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 4 PM.**
Dementia-Friendly Environment: We pride ourselves on being fully dementia-friendly. Our centre is designed to accommodate individuals with this condition, supported by our compassionate care team, who possess extensive experience in assisting those diagnosed.
Daily Activities: We pack our days with engaging group activities, including: Games, Crafts, Quizzes, Bingo, Fitness sessions. Additionally, we incorporate films and music into our entertainment schedules, ensuring that everyone has a delightful and enjoyable experience.

At Age Concern Bracknell Forest, we prioritise meeting the unique needs of our members. Whether they choose to join us for one day or multiple days, we ensure a flexible approach. We understand that deciding to access support services can be daunting, but we strive to make the transition as seamless as possible. When you entrust your loved one to our care, they will be in safe hands, receiving dedicated support from our compassionate team.
To keep you fully informed throughout this journey, we provide regular updates on our members. We want to address any doubts or concerns you may have, so please don't hesitate to reach out to us via phone or email. Our friendly staff will be more than happy to ease your worries and provide the information you need.
If you'd like to explore our centre further, we invite you to contact our center manager. We offer a trial period and work closely with our member's representatives to ensure that our day centre is the ideal support setting.
We also recognise the importance of providing respite for carers. If you require a break or some time off, feel free to drop by and discuss your needs with us. We're here to support you too.

IS THERE TRANSPORT?
Answer: We do not offer transport but there is a number of local charities who can support this, just ask!
IS THERE A FEE TO ATTEND THE DAY CENTRE?
Answer: Yes. Fees are currently set to £47 per day. This includes everything, there are no hidden fees. You can attend as many days per week as desired.
DO YOU SUPPORT PEOPLE WITH DEMENTIA?
Answer: Yes. Our building is fitted with dementia in mind. Our staff have substantial experience supporting those diagnosed with dementia and most of our current members are diagnosed.
DO YOU HAVE TO DO ACTIVITIES?
Answer: No. We have multiple activities happening daily. We aim to have something that appeals to everyone. However, we appreciate some people just want to relax or continue a conversation with a friend, all of this is perfectly fine with us! There is never any pressure to participate.
WHAT SNACKS ARE ON OFFER?
Answer: We have an array of fruit, biscuits, bakery items, sweets, cakes, breads, cereals and more. One promise we can make is that nobody ever leaves hungry at the day centre!
MY RELATIVE TAKES MEDICATION DURING THE DAY, IS THAT AN ISSUE?
Answer: Members of our care team are medication trained. We have locked storage to keep medication with restricted access. There are some forms of medication we are not allowed to hold on-site / or administer. Call and ask for more details.
